Barbara J. Authier, age 52, of Center Barnstead, died March 31, 2010, at Concord Hospital, after a year long battle with breast cancer.
Born August 15, 1957 in Philadephia, PA, daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Roswell) Gavula, she resided in Center Barnstead, NH since 1996, having come from Cranston, RI.
Barbara was self employed with “Meme’s Home Away From Home”, childcare. She loved children and was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and those that she provided childcare for, “Mom” and “Meme” to many. She also loved the beach.
She is survived by her 5 children: Jason and wife Kelly Authier of Cranston, RI, Teresa Chamberlain and Jeremy Authier, both of Center Barnstead, Crystal and husband Drew Boilard of Livermore, Maine and Christopher Authier of Center Barnstead, 3 Grandchildren: Nathaniel Huse, Jr., Morgan Huse and Piper-Anne Boilard, her companion David Kelley of Center Barnstead and 4 siblings: Michael Gavula, Jeanne Geiman, Kathleen Gavula and Gary Gavula, also many beloved Nieces, Nephews and her dog “Nala”.
There are no calling hours, family and friends are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, Hidden Springs Road, Route 28N, Alton, NH, with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Barnstead.
