I was student of Mrs. Bagg's 50 years ago. I have recently been taking a Spanish course, and I'm pleased to say I've remembered everything she taught me. That's a true teacher for you! I am pleased that I stopped by to visit her this summer. She was tiny as tiny can be, but her spirit was the same. She allowed me to take the attached picture which I want to share with you.

I used to teach with Barbara at State University of New York at Geneseo. Since the 70's when I left Geneseo, I had been visiting Barbara every year on my annual visit to see friends in Geneseo. Barbara was a highlight of my visit. Her humor, warmth, political views, memories, and yes, her feistiness will be missed by me on my future visits. I am sorry she didn't make it to her 100th birthday which she said I had to promise to call her on that date. I will be thinking of her then.
