Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Barbara F. Baker, 82 of Pennington, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Hamilton. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, Barbara was raised in Allentown, NJ, graduating from Allentown High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Trenton State College in 1958 and taught 4th grade at Slackwood School in Lawrenceville and was a licensed Real Estate Agent. Barbara and her family moved to Pennington, NJ where she was a member of the Pennington Presbyterian Church and worked as the church secretary for several years. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Barbara and her husband loved to travel especially on cruises.


Daughter of the late Bruce and Evelyn Falconer, she was predeceased by her nephew, Bruce Falconer. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Baker; son, Robert Baker of Belleview, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Louis Beyrouty of Titusville, NJ; grandchildren, Bobby Baker and Sam and Bennett Beyrouty; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Myra Falconer of Columbus, NJ; niece, Bonnie Falconer and her best friend from childhood, Donna and John Dawes.


A visitation will be held Sunday from 12-2pm with a funeral service to begin at 2pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will be private in Ewing Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennington First Aid Squad, 110 Broemel Pl., Pennington, NJ 08534.
