Not sure what to say?

Just learning this news as I read of her service planned at People's Church on October 22. It was a joy to meet Barb when she came to MSU, looking to forge a pathway toward her vision and goal. Her incisive wisdom, humor, insight, determination, and warmth carved her way through all obstacles and into our hearts. And then such a joy again to find her in Kalamazoo where we both lived. What a loss for our world. Surely she is carving another path full of creativity, joy and peace. Blessed be.

I met Barb while we were all going to University. She was one of the "motley crew" climbing group. I admired her confidence and her no holds barred living. That never changed even after she got sick.
She was a truly amazing person that will be missed by many.

So glad I had the opportunity to learn from her. She was a good teacher and will be greatly missed.

Thank you for so many stories and much laughter. I am grateful to have been your friend and will miss you always. PS You forgot to sign your book.

A wonderful teacher and mentor. We will miss your light and laughter.

Offering my deepest condolences to Barbara's friends and family. During difficult times I remember the scripture at Isaiah 59:1 - "Look, the hand of God is not to short to save, nor is his ear too dull to hear."

Barb was a beautiful person and spirit...an example of determination in the face of challenges. She loved to laugh and had a great laugh to listen to.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Barb's death. Her passion for what she believed in and her sense of humor were contagious. My thoughts and prayers for peace are with her family.

Barb was a great colleague and dear friend with a wonderful sense of humor. She will always be in my thoughts and memories.
