So sorry for your loss. She was by far my favorite teacher at Andover High.

My sympathy to your family. I wonder if she taught English at St. Mark's Elementary or Andale High School? Her name and face are familiar. I remember a Mrs. Bayer I had as a teacher who I liked. God grant her peace.

In 1984, I was an incoming Freshman at Andover HS. The only sport that seemed to appeal to me was cross country. What I didn´t know was that the cross country program was about to be to be cut as a school sport - until Coach Barb said she would run it (even though she did not really have any direct experience with the sport). I'm sad to hear that she passed. We lived next door to her when I was in elementary/Jr high school. I spent a lot of time playing at her house with her daughters . I took German in high school with her and even though I did horrible learning it she always made it fun. Prayers to her family

Sympathy and prayers to the family. She was the best English teacher, ever! Mrs. Bayer was fair, very intelligent, and her quick wit always caught us off guard. Rest In Peace....
