This great lady was last living link of a great south indian carnatic violin tradition, the tradition of her Gurus( masters) Sri V Thyagarajan she also learn from his father Sri KS Papa Venketeramiah , at which point she was writing her thesis on th Violin playing in South India. I communicated a lot with her over the past few years , only recently she was quiet. A very very great soul and great musician. Bless her beautiful soul.

Sorry to hear of Ms. Benary's passing. She played and sang beautiful beautiful music! She often substituted in my elementary school. Such a beautiful soul.My condolences to her family may she rest in peace. Dawn
