Not sure what to say?

Barbara will surely live on so long as those of us live whose lives she touched and changed...always for the better. She sparked my love of music while teaching at Harrison School in South Bend Indiana in 1948 and continued expanding my musical universe at Washington High through 1952. I feel so blessed to have had her influence in my life for 50+ years and I am very greatful that I was able to see her and Laurie once more around 2010.
My very sincere condolences to the Bergerson...

OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

Barbara was so helpful to me as I began to play the organ. She recruited me to be the organist at Prince of Peace. I asked her how she could recommend me as organist when she hadn't heard me play. She said she knew how I think. We used to sit next to each other in the alto section of the Bach chorus passing notes to each other about what we thought the director should do to fix the spot he was rehearsing with another section. She was a great lady and good friend.

What great memories I have of our early years at Prince of Peace and Barbara is at the center of them. A great loss. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Claudia Maurer
