Barbara and I were childhood neighbors, and she was a dear friend through grade school and high school, and we kept in touch while she was at Bucknell. The attached picture has her same infectious teenage smile and we are all better for having had her as a part of our lives.

Barbara's leadership was without question at Westlake Academy, just ask all the parents and teachers and STUDENTS who loved and appreciated her.
She built a five-year foundation at our school and it is as solid as a rock. Other than that important fact, she brought a community together, making everyone feel a part of this school in Texas. In her calm, quiet way, she encouraged all of us, taking special care of the international teachers she hired as they were away from their own homes....
