Dear Butler, offering our deepest condolence to the family, please take comfort in knowing that God cares personally for you and your family.

Ms. Butler promoted me to a leadership position in the ICU in Elizabeth General Hospital so many years ago... She was a consummate professional and a great mentor. I have taken what I learned from Ms. Butler through my entire career. When I left EGMC I lost touch with her but never have forgotten what she gave me. Her guidance to me as a young leader formed the Nursing Director that I am today. I have never forgotten her and May the light of heaven shine on your grave. Goodbye Barbara...

So sad to learn of Barbara's passing. We somehow managed to stay connected over the many years. I will always be grateful to Barbara and Fran for opening their home to me on the day I was married back in 1980. They made me feel like a Princess! Many happy memories of celebrating birthday parties in the early days when Kathleen, Karen, Susan and Kelly were little girls and Barbara of course, was there as part of the crowd! May you rest in peace with all your loved ones who went before you.

Ms. Butler was a Mentor to me and I reported to her as one of the Nurse Managers for over 20 yrs. since the acquisition of Alexian Brothers in Elizabeth to the new Trinitas Hospital until her retirement. We stayed as friends and I had my last conversation with her last Sept 2 sharing with her my travels this summer and updates with my grandchildren. She loved hearing about my grandchildren because she knew my kids when I was raising them. I actually prayed for her `comfortable death´ at Mama...
