Mrs. Buxbaum was my favorite teacher during my high school years. So sorry to hear of her passing. Hers was a life well lived and an inspiration to her students.

Barbara was my co-worker, many years ago.....32 years ago to be exact....I remember the day I came into work and was sad...Barbra asked me what was wrong, I told her I turned 40 that day and felt like life was almost over......she smiled and hugged me and said," Honey, your life is just beginning," Thank you, Barbara....you were so right.....I cherish every birthday.......Rest In Peace, My Lady................xoM

This is a favorite shot of Barbara, taken in my mother´s living room in the late 1990s during one of her regular dinner parties at which Barbara was ALWAYS a treasured guest. I think it´s likely Barbara is about to make a funny, smart, or scathing comment, and/or put someone in his place. I miss you already, Barbara!

One of my favorite pictures of Barbara. It sits prominently in my house and was taken in my mother´s living room back in the late 90s during one of her frequent dinner parties that ALWAYS included Barbara. It would not have been an event without Barbara´s presence. Miss you already!

Mrs. Buxbaum was my 12th-grade English teacher at Auburn HS. At the time, my passion was (and remains) journalism so when my English class essays more or less resembled the articles I was contributing then to the school newspaper and to The Citizen-Advertiser, Mrs. Buxbaum was a good sport in putting up with my preferred style and gracious in her grading and comments. I won't repeat the most memorable feedback line here (it's quite embarrassing) but has remained fixed in my mind ever since....
