Barbara was my father Eli´s cousin. We hadn´t previously met, but she warmly welcomed me, my wife and our new baby to Portland when we moved there as a young family. She was a very kind and interesting person who hosted us in her home for dinner many times. As a young family in a new city, it meant a lot to be able to join with family around a cozy dinner table. I´ll always remember her fondly.

Barbara was a dear friend in my music circle, as well as a bit of a business partner. Coffee on an occasional Saturday morning with Barbara and John was a staple when I lived closer to them. I will miss her.
