Barbara J. Carlson

Barb left too soon, but she accomplished so much that is a lasting legacy. All of us who knew her were lucky, as are many who didn’t, but will continue to benefit. We send our most sincere condolences.

Such a hard-working and devoted educator. Barb was my homeroom teacher at Apollo and I connected with her at St. Ben's. She lived her life according to her beliefs. The community will miss her tenacity.

Barb provided a great service to girls and women in the greater St. Cloud area by her inspiration and action to begin the Women’s Fund and her leadership through early years of that fund. She was a great person to work with on the Women’s Fund Board. On a personal level, her example inspired me to more generous giving.

I was Barb's secretary when she was Director of Alumnae Relations at College of St. Ben's. One of my most favorite bosses ever!

My condolences to all the family and friends of Barb. I have fond memories of her warm, joyful presence. She will be greatly missed until we meet again.

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Barb. She was a mentor to me and someone I called a friend. I cherished our conversations and the wisdom she imparted. My heartfelt sympathies to all who loved her.

Barb was one of the finest educators that I have encountered. I took several courses from her at Apollo. Not only was she a great teacher but she was a wonderful person. She remembered me throughout the years and was always friendly and caring. God Bless

I wanted to write some short stories but lacked confidence. Barb worked with me to write a masters thesis and helped me gain confidence. I ended up writing 75 short stories just for my own fun. Thank you many times over Barb. Love Danny.
