Barbara Collette, age 79, of Lawrence St. died Wednesday April 22 at Concord Hospital. She was born in Concord, daughter of the late Eugene Francis and Germaine (Nolin) Sullivan. She was a graduate of St. John's high school and received her nursing degree from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Manchester. She worked as a registered nurse at Concord Hospital for over 35 years. Barbara loved her family, friends and home. She enjoyed travel, reading, gardening and bird watching.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert R. Collette who died in 2010, two brothers; Eugene and Robert Sullivan.
She is survived by her four daughters; Kristina Cournoyer of Concord, Deborah Ann Daneault of Johns Creek, Ga., Cynthia M. McPhaden of Cambria, N.Y., Beth Gifford of Natick, Mass., one son; Robert W. Collette of Manchester, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three sister in law's Elisa Sullivan, Carol Sullivan and Peggy Collette, and nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 26 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 27 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish/St. John's ,72 South Main St., Concord.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 29 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 207 N. State St., Concord N.H.
