Barbara Lee "Bobby" Craven

Barbara (Bobby) Lee Tobias Craven, 88, passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015. Born in Chipley, on June 14, 1927, to Frank and Nancy Louise Sheppard Tobias, Bobby was a lifelong resident of Chipley. She retired from Southern Bell after 27 years of service in 1981. In retirement, she enjoyed reading, cooking, and caring for her family.
She is pre-deceased by her husband, William (Billy) M. Craven, her parents, sister Carolyn Tobias Williams and brother-in-law Jeep Williams, brother-in-law Dr. James Craven and sister-in-law Virginia Craven, sister-in-law Elouise Craven Shehee and brother-in-law Dr. Ed Shehee.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands Leola and Billy Brock, and Kathy and Larry Rudd; sister Julia (Bootsie) Sirmans; brother Frank (Sonny) Tobias and his wife Jacquelyn Tobias; three grandchildren and their spouses Billy James and Karla Brock, Lele and Andrew Sobey, and Lori and Roland Leis; four great-grandchildren Jon Brock and wife Hillary Brock, Hunter Fletcher and fiancé Robin Quintero, Gracie Brock, and Tom Brock; and two great-great-grandchildren Bryce Brock and Harper Brock. She is also survived by six nephews and their wives Dr. Ben and Cynthia Craven, Cecil and Lettie Sirmans, Michael Sirmans, Dr. Eddie and Angie Shehee, Dr. Ronnie and Chris Shehee, and Toby and Lauren Tobias; and two nieces Jeni Dennis and Susan Brown and her husband Peter Brown.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to special caregivers Dot Talton, Corene Joyner, and Tina Birge.
Graveside service were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, with the Rev. Tim Hall officiating, with Brown Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Covenant Hospice of Marianna. Friends and family may sign the online registry at www.brownfh.net.
