Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother died on 18 May 2009. After years of pain, her heart could take no more surgery. This lovely and wonderful woman was born near Carbondale, IL. on 3 July 1932 to Ralph and Mildred Snyder. Her husband, George, sons Geroge II, and Ralph;...

Not sure what to say?

I was incredibly saddened & shocked by the news of Barbara's death. In the short time I had the honor of knowing her, Barbara was an inspiration to me. No matter how much pain, discomfort, & discouragement she was fighting...she still came into my salon with a positive attitude & outlook. I absolutely looked forward to her & Jenny coming in because I knew there would be laughter. Stories she told of her childhood & raising her children were a highlight for me. It was always amazing to...

My memories of Mrs. Congeyer go back to when I was young. The Crongeyer's house was the place to be for kids on the block. I remember the garage doors were alway open because someone was always riding something out of them, bikes, skateboards, big wheels, pogo sticks, hippity hops, roller skates. The driveway and garage were like a playground. In the summer I would go over there looking for my sister as she practically lived there, (we always knew where she was, "she's at the Crongeyers")and...

Janice Crongeyer-Basye This week, we mourn the tragic loss of one of the most beautiful and generous women I have ever known...my second mother, Barbara Crongeyer. She was a caring, loving person, who accepted people for what they were. Anyone could depend on a word of encouragement or comfort from her in a time of need. She bravely fought Rheumatoid Arthritis, for over 20 years. She is free of pain now. You will be greatly missed Barbara!

Dear George and Family,

We are so saddened to learn of Barbara's passing. We remember so many good times when we lived at the Coachman Town Homes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Love and God Bless,

Barbara was my neighbor at the Coachman Townhomes for many years. She was a wonderful person to know, creative, talented and a wonderful cook. She brought the most besutiful cakes to the pot luck dinners. She will be missed. I know her health issues became paramount. I can identify with that. Blessings to the family.

This info was not in the Obit itself so the Crongeyer family would like to suggest that in lieu of sending flowers, a donation be made to “Within Our Reach” Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
