Barbara Dally, 82, passed away on January 28, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, at College Avenue Christian Church, 4440 College Avenue in Des Moines. She will be interred in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter.

Barbara was born January 6, 1931 to Clarence A. and Arlene (Randall) Lake in Vallejo, CA. She was united in marriage with Robert Dally on July 1, 1949. They owned and operated Bob's Electric in Enid, OK for nine years, before Bob began full time ministry with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Together they served churches in Elwood and York, NE, Whitten, Garwin, and Waukee, IA, and Fremont, MI. After retirement in 1987, they continued their ministry on an interim basis, serving churches in Michigan, Nebraska and Iowa. They moved to West Des Moines in 2008 to be closer to family.

Barbara is remembered by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert; sons: Richard (Terrie) of Enid, OK and Michael (Judy) of Dayton, OH; daughters: Barb Dally and Naomi Altemeier of Windsor Heights, IA; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant child, Janet.
