I only knew Mrs. Dewitt through her son John -- he and I had been college roommates for a spell and with his parents living just a bit off campus we naturally became acquainted during that brief time. But despite having met her on just a handful of occasions all those years ago, and the infrequent encounters I still have with her son these days, I can see by the kind of man he's become that she was a special and truly good woman, a genuinely positive force in her children's lives and someone...

I have many positive lasting memories of my relationship with Mrs Dewitt.While attending U of T with John I enjoyed many sunday night dinners at the Dewitt household.Her house became my home away from home while I lived in Toledo.When my parents visited we often went out for dinner with Mr and Mrs Dewitt.My parents told me I made a good choice in a friend with John.They told me that because of the quality of parents he had.I couldn't agree more.
