Barbara Doyle

I grew up hearing stories of Mrs. Doyle´s generosity and kindness from my Dad, Don Markus. He and Jim met during college, served in the Army together, and became as close as brothers. I have a vivid childhood memory of hearing Mass with the entire Doyle family and now realize that faith, hope, and love suffused Mrs. Doyle´s home. If you were raised Catholic in Texas, one of the best ways to make friends in a new parish or school is asking, "Do you know the Doyles?" Bright smiles would appear...

I absolutely loved Mrs. Doyle. She was so welcoming when I would come over to Katie´s house. I always looked forward to seeing Mrs. Doyle because she was so kind and welcoming, seemed to always make time to listen, and so very witty! She will always have a special place in my memory and in my heart. Our deepest sympathies to all of the Doyles. She will be missed by so many. She brought so much joy into the lives of others on earth and now she lives in eternal joy in Heaven with Jesus!
