Not sure what to say?

Barbara was such a great pleasure to work with. She had very high standards for herself and her students. All of her students benefitted from her excellent teaching and loving positive way.I always felt appreciated and inspired by her as a co-worker.When I transferred away from the school we shared, she gave me the sweetest gift; her lush and mature Christmas Cactus she kept in her classroom.I was honored to receive it and every year since, when it is covered with luxurious blossoms, I...

Barbara was my most beloved teacher. I have thought of her fondly over the years. She loved children and had the ability to bring out the best in them. I knew her in 1985 when I was a third grader. So sorry for your loss

Jill and Julie and Ed, I am sad to read of Barbara's death. I know all of you will miss her greatly and rejoice in her generous life. We have never met. I am a long lost cousin, only child of Alvin (George's elder brother) and Mildred Wood Cockrell. We met often in LaPorte when we were children, and had a joy-full time playing at our grandparents home. May you have blessed memories of Barbara, memories that give you joy for all your days. Patricia Cockrell Wood

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. Love, Jeanne Cothrell

Jill and Julie, I met your mother way back in the early 90s when my son was in her third grade class at Stafford. She was so wonderful and even stayed with my boys on the farm while my husband and I traveled to the gift show in Atlanta. She bought a large colored pencil drawing of mine, it was a black cat and daffodils. She always spoke so fondly of you and we just thought she was the sweetest person. We are richer to have known her. Hugs.
