Not sure what to say?

I met Barbara in college in the Child Development program. When she opened her preschool she asked me to be the head teacher. Barbara was easy to work with and was very dedicated to the children and families. After all these years, Barbara and I would reminisce about teaching preschool. We had a common bond and friendship centered around teaching, children, and comparing notes about our own grandchildren. She truly had a heart for children and will be missed.

I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Ely. She was very loved and the best 3rd grade teacher ever! She was always so sweet. Even after I had graduated from Chico Country Day school, shed always recognize me and give me a hug. My love goes out to all her family.

Mrs. Ely was my teacher when I went to CCDS and she was absolutely amazing! I remember how caring and sweet she was, and how she created so many memories for me in her class. Including box city and her amazing class library. I think of her often when dealing with difficult children, thinking of how she would deal with the situation. I feel very lucky to have had her as a teacher.

Ms. Ely was our almost 30-year-old son Zane‘s third grade teacher. She was an extremely kind and dedicated educator. Chico country Day school was lucky to have her as a teacher. We are so sorry for the loss for her family. The world has lost a shining light but she will be in your hearts forever

Mrs. Ely was one of my daughter’s favorite teachers at Chico Country Day. She was always so kind and was always there to greet her students with a smile. She was definitely one of Chico Country Day’s treasures. I am so sorry for the family’s loss. Our family’s hearts are definitely very heavy to hear this news.
