Barbara Jean Epps

Barbara Jean Epps, 86, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Epps; father, Lewis Carpenter Sr.; mother, Reda Carpenter; daughter, Peggy Sue Epps; brothers, Lewis Carpenter, Jr., Garfield Carpenter, Horace Carpenter and James Carpenter; and sisters, Frances Brandon and Gladys Kirkpatrick.

She is survived by her son, Charles W. (Iris) Epps of White Pine; daughter, Phyllis Carl of White Pine; grandchildren, Michael Monahan (Helaine Hoch), Thomas (Daphne) Epps, Leslie (James) Hahn, Lianne (Adam) Carroll, Jared Howcroft and Darci Rapley; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jake, Aaron, Loralie, Brianna, Kaylee, Andrew and Carina.

Special thanks to her friends, Reda Ford and Price and Joann Dickerson and the nurses and Doctor's at the Cath Lab at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Emmert officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at Jarnagin Cemetery for graveside services.
