Dear Fred, Maurine, and family:

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. My mother called me last night to tell me of her passing.

Barbara was a very welcoming person who was always kind and supportive of me. I remember that she always let all of us hang out at your house to play cards or use the pool and invariably fixed up a snack for us as well. She was a special person who was so dedicated to her children and her mother. I know you will miss her....

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
