Barbara Joy Fazio or “Cookie” as she was commonly called passed away peacefully at home on Monday June 13, 2016. Barbara grew up in Brick, NJ where she lived the vast majority of her life before moving to Lawrenceburg, TN on May 8, 2009. Barbara was brought up catholic and continued to follow the religion until her conversion to Baptist in 2009. She was a member of Deerfield Baptist Church. Barbara had an unbelievable love for animals big and small. She loved her farm and taking care of all her animals especially a white cow named Sweet Pea. Throughout her life she made many friends both in NJ and TN, whom will miss her dearly. Barbara was preceded in death by two grandparents, Rose B. Sobozenski and Louis J. Sobozenski, her mother Barbara Berzanskis and her husband Michael Fazio. She is survived by her loving son Christopher Swick and his fiancée Erika Stahl, two beautiful grandchildren, Shane Hulick and Emma Rose Swick, her stepfather Jerry Berzanskis whom she loving referred to as Daddy, her biological father Thadeus Midura, aunts and uncles who she cherished, Dolores and Charles Stout and Rose and Robert Aznar, two cousins Scott and Mark Stout who looked up to her as if she was a big sister, and of course her animals, a Tennessee brown dog named Fred, a shitzu named Maui, and last but not least her cinnamon roll white cow named Sweet Pea as well as her cows, horses, donkeys that were part of her farm family. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Monday beginning 11:00am at Church of the Visitation in Brick. The interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
