Not sure what to say?

Oh, my heart is broken to learn of Barb's death. I'm surprised and sad for your loss. She and your dad were such precious friends and so good at keeping in touch.

We have wonderful memories of both Barb and Jim when they would return home to the cottage. We just saw her this fall and she was so happy, sharing her latest book with me. They will be missed. Praying for you all. Dean, Lori, Ashley & Christian Matthews Pointe Des Chenes Cres. Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.

Barry & I wish to extend our condolences to all of the Flaggert family. We have been good friends of Barbie since Kindergarten and enjoyed having her and Jim as friends since she first brought him home to meet the family. Barry spent summers at the Pointe with her as a teenager. Please contact us if you are planning on coming to come up to the cottage. Our group that had weekly dinners together have made a donation in memory of Barb to Victoria Church which she attended when she was home...

In loving memory of our special friend Barb and our sincere condolences to all her family ... We will miss our many get togethers in Sault Ste Marie, ON with both Barb & Jim ... Don & Myrla Orr ***

Sad news. Barb was our dear friend since 1956. So many good memories of our times together with Barb and Barb and Jim. Loved them. Miss them. Deepest condolences. Kip and Heather Wyant

I´m sorry for your loss. I only knew your Mother from WW. I was always impressed with her upbeat attitude. She was so active, traveling across the country to visit her sons and grandchildren. The last time I saw her was in May before she headed back up to Lake Superior for the summer. I will miss seeing her. I barely knew her and yet she struck me as a remarkable Mother and Grandmother. And I always enjoyed our conversations.

One of my best memories is walking in East Grand Rapids with Barb and our two (Jim and Karen) in their strollers. She taught my son, Ric, a valuable lesson on a walk one day and we all laugh about it to this day! For all you boys my sympathy on your loss! Losing a mother is never easy but, hopefully you will treasure your memories of a very special lady.

Remember Barb and Jim from Boy Scout troop 290 in Ada. Our condolences to the family.

We first met Jim and Barb in our first apartment on college st. and shared meals and watching U of M football games. Then we kept in touch and took turns sharing meals together until Jim passed. We love your parents and will miss them both. Barb was a kind and gentle soul and loved her family deeply.
