Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Friedman was my speech teacher at WT White in 1972-1973. I was the only sophomore in a class of juniors and seniors. She made sure the upperclassmen treated me well and her encouragement and nurturing gave me confidence at a time I really needed it. May her memory be a blessing.

I had the luck of working with Barbara during her tenure as a volunteer with the DMA's Go van Gogh program. She was a light and a joy to work with--we for so lucky to have her quick wit, bright energy, and of course, teaching chops as part of our group. Sending condolences to her family and everyone whose lives she touched.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

She was the best and most favorite teacher I ever had. As my Debate and Speech coach, she inspired me to become an attorney. My condolences to her wonderful family I have been blessed to know.

Wow- I want to send a Prayer of thanks to `Barb´ as she was affectionately known by my class when she taught us Speech & Debate at W.T. Not to mention defend my position in an...

I, too, had Mrs.. Friedman for Auditorium at Kramer Elementary School. I always found her to be a warm, fun, and and inspiring teacher. May her memory be a blessing.

Barbara was a loving-brilliant lady. I will forever appreciate the special bond Barbara had with my daughter, Alison. I admired her character. Ken

To Barbara Friedman's family- I must have been one of Mrs. Friedman's first students, 1959 at Arthur Kramer School. She was our auditorium teacher, which meant that as our second class of the morning in third grade she taught us culture. We put on plays and on certain days got to check out library books that she selected and rolled into the auditorium for us to select. I will never forget her influence. She was kind, inspiring, and always beautiful in every way. Please know that I and...

Mrs. Friedman was the best teacher! We all loved her class. We all loved her. I never laughed so much. She was so much fun. Truly, her class was the only one I looked forward to. I am so glad she was blessed with a big and loving family. Love, Lynda Kravitz Fitzjarrell, W.T.White, Class of 1971. Also a member of Temple Emanuel.
