Barbara Fromm Of Occidental, CA died on February 23, 2012. She was the loving and devoted wife of David, as well as proud mother of Marc, Kenneth and Kathleen, and grandmother of nine. Both family and friends will miss her easygoing nature, wisdom, wit, kindness and love.
Read MoreAbout a year after Barbara died, I received a necklace in the mail. Inside was a note from her daughter that Barbara had put a note on that necklace that it should be given to me when she died. I wear it often and think of Barbara with much love.

I knew Barbara since we were infants; her mother Becky and her Aunt Fania were my mother's closest friends. Barbara was always warm and kind to me, even when my mom "parked" me with her parents after my father was critically injured during the war. We kept saying we would get together, since Occidental is so close to SF, and I deeply regret that I did not get to see her.
