Not sure what to say?

Many years ago Barb and Bette and a small group of us gathered regularly for a rousing game of bid whist. I will never forget the fun and laughter. You are in our thoughts Bette. The love will never leave you.

I was so saddened by the news of barbs passing. She was the most wonderful role model in nursing. We shared many a laugh at vm and I was so pleased that she had our backs at wsna. A true leader with a wicked sense of humor Bette I can only imagine the depth of your loss. I will always be grateful to have enjoyed your place in yachats. Peace be with you and the ocean. Carol hile

Gone too soon, but what an enduring legacy Barbara leaves. May her beautiful spirit live on in those of us she touched.

I feel our life is richer for just knowing Barbara. Her passion for almost everything that was important to her was such a gift. She will be missed in so many ways. Sandy and Jesse

I'll miss Barbara. Her good positive spirit balanced with fierce intelligent fight for what was right. Thanks and love and support for Bette. Claudia

It's hard to imagine the Yachats hood without Barbara...being welcomed at their door by her and Bette. Getting the poodles all excited. I always said she was the one person I'd want for my advocate. Claudia

Barbara was a true and loyal friend and always stepped up for for those who couldn't. Condolences to the people she touched.

We were proud to count Barbara and Bette as dear friends, most importantly, as trailblazers and inspiration on every front named in her obituary. Barbara and Bette, both mentored and taught on so many levels. We will miss the dual partnership we shared on visits to Seattle, and tours of surrounding places, or being included in invites to Women's music events, and not least, encouraged to "get married" when it became legal, on both the Washington and Oregon side. Very fond memories, right...

Our most heartfelt condolences to Bette and all their family. This beautifully written tribute is a testament to the amazing stateswoman Barbara was.
A wonderful memory we have is marching with Barbara and Bette, January 21, 2017, in Hilo, Hawaii, to support the worldwide Women's March.
Barbara's contributions to nurse's will live on forever.
Many thanks and much love. Gina and Maggie.
