Barbara Frankel Tilford

Obituary

Tilford, Barbara Frankel Born April 26, 1952, Died April 26, 2007 CROSSED OVER PEACEFULLY surrounded by her family, after a fulfillng life when her journey with cancer came to a close. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ed; three bonus boys, Ed Jr., Terry and Shane; 5 grandchildren, Greta, Zach, Abby, Isabel and Chloe; sisters, Gail and Beth; brothers, Scott and Bill; nieces & nephews, Chris and Erin Frankel, Jeff and Kevin Noland and Nick and Lauren Frankel. We will all miss Barbara. Her courage and strength inspired everyone who knew her and these memories will live on. Barbara loved being "Baga" to her grandchildren and grand nieces. Her friends will remember lunch and shopping, a good book, stitching and complaining, and puttering around in the back yard that brought Barbara joy and comfort. But it was Sunny, her Golden Doodle, who made her and Ed's days happy and fun. Her essence can be described by honesty and a lifelong desire to stand up and support what is decent and good in the world. There will be a celebration of her life on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 11 AM at the River Hills United Methodist Church, 11100 River Hills Dr. in Burnsville, MN. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the River Hills United Methodist Church or to a charity of your choice.

Ed -

Charlotte Frampton was kind enough to forward Barbara's notice to me. I remember her as someone with a delicious and infectious laugh, and am sorry for her too soon passing.

Ed And the Boys...So sorry to hear of Barb's passing. Although the years have parted us we think of you often and remember the days of Santa Maria. We know how much she meant to you all. Our prayers are for the peace and comfort of her place with no pain.
