Barbara E. (Huntzinger) Gaw, 75, Anderson, passed away November 16, 2006 at Manor Care Health Services after an extended illness.

She was born November 7, 1931 in Delaware County and graduated from Fairmount High School. She had lived in Anderson since 1973 and retired from Guide Lamp in 1993 after 20 years of service.

Barbara was a member of UAW – CIO Local 663.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Gaw of Anderson; four daughters, Kay (husband, Richard) Flora of Bloomington, Jeane (husband, Jerry) Coovert of Indianapolis, Nancy (husband, Gary) Marion of Anderson and Sharon Leann Silver of Anderson; step daughters, Rebecca (husband, Brian) Ireton of Pendleton and Nancy Lee Lawler of Anderson; ten grandchildren, Neil (wife, Reanna) Flora, Sabrina (husband, Cameron) Knox, Joni (husband, Dustin) Kelso, Cynthia (husband, Troy) Harmon, Gary Marion, Jr., Melody (husband, Doug) Spangler, Jacob Silver, Brandon Ireton, Brooklyn Ireton and Darlene Burkhardt; five great grandchildren, Lilly Flora, Caylob Kelso, Addison Knox, Ben Burkhardt and Brady Burkhardt; brothers, Gail (wife, Betsy) Huntzinger, Larry Huntzinger, Earl (wife, Linda) Huntzinger and Web Huntzinger; sister, Jan (husband, Eddie) Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Jim Huntzinger.

The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care Health Services and Heartland Hospice Services for all the care given to Barbara.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, with the Rev. Don Weston officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
