Words cannot express the loss of this special person. She was always the best at whatever she was doing. I know that she'll be sadly missed by all those that knew her. May the Master up above hold her family close to his bosom giving the family strength in this time of loss for the coming Holidays.

Although I only had the pleasure of knowing Barbara for about six or seven years, I quickly learned what a special person she was. She touched so many lives through her research and will be sorely missed by many. As another cousin recently put it, meeting her was a blessing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this trying time and beyond.
With deepest sympathy,
Cousin Martha and family

Our thoughts and prayers have been with you during this difficult time. I finally had the chance to meet Barbara at the Power reunion back in June. Her hard work will continue to be appreciated for years to come.

MY MEMORIES WILL ALWAYS BE OF BARBARA AND KERN PICKING ME UP EVERY MORNING, TAKING ME TO SCHOOL WHEN I WAS IN THE 2ND GRAD AND BARBARA WAS IN THE FOURTH. WE WENT TO ROE WELLS SCHOOL, AND HOW KERN WAS ALWAYS PICKING ON ME. I RODE ON THE MOTOR OF THAT LITTLE SNUB-NOSED TRUCK HE HAD. I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. MAY GOD BE WITH ALL OF YOU WITH HIS LOVING ARMS OF COMFORT.

We will greatly miss Barbara, she was a very special person. We enjoyed getting to know her better through her involvement with the Relay for Life and the Relay cookbook. She was a wonderful inspiration and will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and if you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.
