My deepest condolences to you all. I had the privilege of working with Barb for many years at Calvin. She was an incredible Administrative Assistant - who went way beyond the call to duty to make staff and students alike to feel special. She was not only an incredibly reliable professional, but also a wonderful friend. She was also an amazingly giving person. I remember time and again being blown away by all of the time and effort she would put into organizing and providing the goodies...

I was a student in the department of Physical Education at Calvin when Barb was working in the office. Even when students were not on the ball with various things, Barb was always fun and encouraging. She greeted students with a smile and a genuine spirit of wanting to help us. She was an overwhelmingly positive influence on the students of Calvin.

Aunt Barb was always there for you and she loved to make you smile. I remember that she would go to garage sales throughout the year and gather goodies. Then, on Christmas she you give out her selection of hand picked goodies to everyone in their own special box.. It made everyone happy and it made her happy too. RIP Love, Bill

Barb was one of a kind - the rock of our department. She could do anything! She was a good friend who worked very hard for Calvin. I'm so sorry that I will be out of town on July 10 and won't be able to come to her memorial.
