Not sure what to say?

I think Barbara would be happy to know I'm still working on the family genealogy. Every time I make a new connection or find info. on an ancestor I wish I could share it with her. She always loved sharing her knowledge about our family. She was always so happy to learn something new about our family history. You are still so missed Barb.

I just learned of Barb's passing. I never met her in person, but she sent me an e-mail 7 years ago and introduced herself, as my 2nd cousin once removed? Over the years, she shared memories, and gave me precious insight into many of my relatives. She became a good friend. I looked forward to each e-mail, and I am sad to know that I won't get the chance to meet her in person. She had such a bright, shiny, personality. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and she was so kind. She seemed to...

She was our Barb-Ken the smiling free-spirited essence of our freshman year at Hendricks Hall. The 50th reunion picture pretty much captures it. When I last saw her at Pat Fox' Hundred Moons 75th birthday celebration on Kauai, she was in good form. It's hard to believe we won't see her again .

I met Barb when we were U.O. freshmen in Hendricks Hall. She always kept the old "Hen Hall" gang in touch with her regular & hilarious emails. I last saw her in Phoenix at "the Natty", national college football championship, and I'm pretty sure that I took that picture of her there in her Oregon colors. I miss the emails and knowing she might pop into our lives most any time. She was an ORIGINAL !

My sincere condolences to Barbara's family. We all feel the much to early loss of a dear friend.

My latest memories of time spent with Barbara are when I frequented San Diego to see grand children on Coranado. Every day while they were in school, I would take the ferry to see Barbara. We ate at her favorite places. Oh how she loved to eat and it never showed on her beautiful figure. We walked the town and spent hours in her apartment going over old pictures, laughing, and...

Barbara was very special to me. I was blessed to have her for a sister-in-law. She treated our family with so much love. She never missed our birthdays and made the holidays fun and unique. I remember a Christmas Eve when she taught us how to boil and crack live lobsters. She wrapped our dining room table with newspaper and the lobster parts flew everywhere, we had a ball ! I miss her and can't believe she is gone. Rest in Peace sweet lady.

Barbara and I have been friends for 60 plus years---high school, college, marriage and children, traveling world destinations with family together, following the Ducks---what a lot of memories. A fun person to be with--my kids always said, "Barbara is a hoot." That she was and I will miss her a lot. Viya Con Dios.

Our condolences to Barbara's family. She was a loyal and integral part of the Gildred Companies and the Gildred families for many years. We all miss her.

My big sister, Barbara, was a unique woman with a charmingly timeless style. My first memory of her is sunbathing in the backyard in Eugene, and she continued to enjoy soaking up the sunshine for many years in San Diego. Most of all she loved her family and touched our lives in many ways. She was kind, hospitable, and generous.I thought we would have more time together, and I will miss her very much.
