Barbara was an amazing smart and capable woman. I was her secretary for a couple of years when she was Managing Editor of Mademoiselle. I was a terrible Secretary but she was incredibly kind in spite of my ditzy performance. The movie “The Devil Wore Prada” reminds me of those days.
