Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary


KNICKERBOCKER, Barbara M. - Of Flint, age 74, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Regency of Grand Blanc after suffering many years of Parkinson’s Disease. 


Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, November 8, 2107 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, 


Reverend Robert Dickie officiating. 


Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. 


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation. 


Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday and 10am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. 


Barbara was born in Flint on December 12, 1942, the daughter of William and Berneda (Young) Stocker and was a resident of Mt. Morris and Flint. On January 25, 1969 she married Lynn Knickerbocker in Flint and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2017. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Grand Blanc. She was a loving wife and mother. When she was well she loved baking, sewing and making things for others. 


Surviving are children, Ryan Knickerbocker, and Gina (Mark) Cloutier; 


brothers, Bernard (Kay) Stocker and Brian (Debbie) Stocker; 


sister, Beverly (Fred) Bruder; 


sister-in-law, Ida Stocker; 


many nieces and nephews. 


She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Stocker and his first wife, Virginia.
