Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the American Association of University Women, Ann Arbor branch, we are so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She was a past member of our group, and we extend our condolences to her loved ones.

I enjoyed knowing Barbara in International Neighbors, and she was a welcoming person to the young women who joined. Her daughter Kathy, a graphic artist, helped set up the format of "Living in Ann Arbor." We miss Barbara and send condolences to her famijly.

It was the first week of August - 44 years ago - when I was very warm-hearted welcomed by Barara and Jim as an exchange student at Krick´s home in Ann Arbor. This wasn´t just the beginning of a great exchange year I got the chance to spend within the Krick familiy but also the beginning of a longlasting friendship and exchange with two wonderfull persons: Barbara and Jim Krick. Even though I didn´t return very often to Ann Arbor my American "Mom&Dad" visited us several times in Switzerland...

My American Mom Barbara Krick was a fabulous personality, always lively and interested, with an incredible love for her family (which I could join) and friends. During my exchange year in 1986-1987, she and my American Dad James opened their home and hearts in the most lovely way for me. Later we met many times, whether to watch a musical together in London, to visit Dresden, or, already Barbara on her own, to take a stroll in Hamburg together with fellow exchange student Hans Ulrich. In 2018...

Barbara and James were the backbones for the area Youth for Understanding program. Their home was a warm and friendly residence for their family and countless international youth. Barbara's smile and positive thinking greeted every task. A Consummate Volunteer and so refreshing!

Barbara was a great lady and a wonderful friend. I am sad to know she is gone, but happy she is with Jim at last. Rest on peace, dear Barb. We will miss you!

Barbara was a wonderful woman in so many ways. I knew her through the First United Methodist Church in Ann Arbor and as an AAUW Ann Arbor Branch friend. My condolences to Barbara's family.

I met Barbara while she was living in a facility in Ann Arbor. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the lobby having a nice chat, typically about Michigan Football. So many fond memories of this beautiful lady

Thoughts and prayers for the Krick family. It was such a joy to see Barb and Jim each year for scholarship evaluation. I enjoyed getting to know them over the years.
