Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Inc. Obituary

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” – Proverbs 31:25-28.

We were blessed with the birth of Barbara Jean Law on September 16, 1953 to Walter Dee Law and Dorothy Ruth Law in the humble city of Grove Hill, Alabama. Her nickname was Bobbi. She graduated from Vigor High School in1971, attended James H. Faulkner State Junior College, The University of Alabama, and Stillman College where she received a BA degree.

She is preceded in death a sister, Shelia A. Law and a brother, Walter Law. Her loving memory will live on through her two children, Toby Law (Halie Hardy) and Ashley S. Law; her seven grandchildren, devoted Antonio Jr, Alasia, Ashton, Kensley, Skylyn Ayanna, Onyx Tobias, and Ophelia Jean; her two sisters, Rose Fenceroy (John) and Patricia Zachery (Rickey); her brother, Wallace Law; three nephews, Bemis Dillingham, Rickey Jr. and Brandon Zachary; two dedicated friends, Frances Grover and Lena Ash; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Antonio Petite Sr, Ronald Allen & Demetrius Petite

Barbara was the definition of hard work. Her tireless devotion to her family and loved ones should be the measuring stick to receive the title "friend" or "mother". Her precision and attention to detail would either sharpen you or drive you insane; always from the heart, never sugar-coated. She was the Queen of "No half stepping" and a master of tough LOVE.

Mom, you fought the good fight, your work here is done. Thank you, we love you Bobbi.

Not sure what to say?

We're gonna miss you Bobbi. We're gonna miss the birthday cards you would send diligently every year. Also the anniversary cards you would send with cash money and strict instructions to split the money right down the middle between us. Rest easy. We love you. Sister and brother-in-law

Bobbi as I knew her. From college days at the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa; your fun and quirky giggle will always be remembered. It was a joy to make her laugh. Thanks be to GOD for a life well lived.

In loving memory of a beautiful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I will truly miss you, love you always -- from your sister, Rose.
