Barbara Gene (Haynes) Lehman

Barbara Gene (Haynes) Lehman, 88, of Decatur passed away on Sunday (June 12, 2016) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Long Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor Tony Paulson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Point Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Long Creek United Methodist Church.
Barbara was born on May 10, 1928 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Edward and Rosa (Wallett) Haynes. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1946. After graduating she married Fred George Horne in 1947 and that union led to two sons. She later married Lemuel L. Lehman on July 16, 1953 which blessed them with one son. She was a member of Long Creek United Methodist Church. She held several positions over her career but mostly worked and retired from Kroger Grocery Store in the Deli Department. Barbara was incredible in the kitchen and her family will always miss her delicious cooking.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Lemuel; two sons: Robert E. (Anne) Horne of Blue Mound, IL and Lyle L. Lehman of Blue Mound, IL; daughter-in-law: Coralesa Horne of Illiopolis, IL; ten grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Fred G. Horne, nine siblings, great granddaughter: Jocelyn and her previous husband.
