Not sure what to say?

Knowing Barbara has been an important milestone for me, as I know it was for many fortunate others. Intelligent, strong, compassionate, empathetic and loving are only a few of the special words to describe Barbara. To Elisabeth and Patrick: Always know that your mommy loved you more than anything in this world. My heartfelt wishes to you both: Remember the love.

Barbara was a wonderful woman who shared great compassion and hope with many of us. I was very blessed to have the pleasure of knowing her. She loved her family very deeply. I will miss her very much. She was very kind and generous. I will always remember her. My sincerest sympathy to John, Elisabeth,Patrick, her mother and sister. Family was always her first priority in life. May her love always comfort you. God bless all of you.

Dear Mrs. Hildegard Leiting and Family, I only met you once at Rocky Hill but feel like I know you through time shared with Barbara. I know heaven is the only place better from her passing and the world will surely miss her. I know how much she miss her children. I will never forget her strength, faith and hope in a very trying time. It was her spirit that touched me the most as she knitted away, listening and trying to help others. Take care. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers....

It was with great sadness that we heard the news of Barbara's passing. We were so very fond of Barbara, she was a trusted research colleague during our interactions at Merck and a personal friend. She will be remembered for her scientific achievements and outstanding work ethic as well as her genuine compassion for people. She will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her. We extend our sincerest sympathies to John, Elisabeth & Patrick, and family.
