Dear Family of Barbara LePera-Stacey, I am writing as the Secretary of the Renaissance Society to express the condolences of our members at the passing of Barbara LePera-Stacey. My late wife (Lynne) was Barbara's best friend from the second grade. We used to visit Barbara and Kent many times when they lived in Henderson, Nevada, and we lived in the Los Angeles area. Lynne and I helped Barbara move back to Sacramento after Kent passed away. Barbara was a very special person. She is missed.

My dear friend Barb, It is so hard to believe you are gone. Years ago when we both worked for Dept of Health Services, we bonded over our mutual love of cats. Little did I know you would become such a special friend. I last spoke with you on your birthday and we agreed to get together for a nice meal after the COVID restrictions were loosened. Our favorite haunt, Biba´s, was now closed and we agreed it would be hard to find another special place to celebrate our birthdays and Christmas....

I think of Barbara as a good friend of mine. I loved her mischievous ways and her taste for adventures and new experiences. She was always up for a caper or an outing. Barbara always dressed and accessorized beautifully. She loved looking her best and making an entrance. She chatted easily with everyone who crossed her path, her friendly manner bringing laughter to everyone she met.
