BARBARA RUTH "BOBBIE" (GOODE) LEWIS Funeral services for lifelong area resident, Barbara Ruth "Bobbie" (Goode) Lewis will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 12 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Marvin Graves will officiate. Bobbie was born on September 3, 1930 in Mancos to John Ward and Velma (Journey) Goode. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the age of 86. Surviving Bobbie are her husband, Leo Lewis of Cortez; her children, Connie Jean Baer (Rick) of Grand Junction, Colo., Dana Lee Lichlyter (Tom) of Fruita, Colo., Lorri Lewis Smith of Dolores, Lana Rae Sulkey (John) Cedaredge, Colo., and Loren Bruce Lewis of Bakersfield, Calif.; by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; and by her siblings, Betty Adcock of Durango, Geraldine "Geri" Anderson (Jim) of Montrose, Colo., and Judy Roseberry McKillip of Goodyear, Ariz. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; by her son, Michael Don Nielson; and her siblings, Erma Nell Sexton, Roy Goode, Jimmy Goode, Mary Lou James, and Robert Goode. Memorial contributions can be made in Bobbie's name with St. Jude Children's Hospital.
