Not sure what to say?

Been thinking about you recently Barbara as I met Lucia's biologist grandson by happenstance and am providing him contacts. Your legacy keeps on growing.

Barbara taught me how philanthropy works and it allowed me to have a 30 year career at The Nature Conservancy, including 2 years in Ohio and 12 years with Peru and Bolivia. Boy, do I owe her a debt of gratitude--she changed my life. I was able to travel with her to Peru and also see her in action on the Conservancy's global board. A remarkable person who did so much to advance global conservation, one of the Conservancies earliest committed voices for global work. And, she so generous...

I just found out about Barbara's passing. What a wonderful woman she was! I knew her through Starbucks in Chagrin Falls, where she would come in for her .5 shot of vanilla latte. She was always so kind to all of us, and when her visits become more infrequent I would occasionally deliver her beverage to her at home. We would sit and chat for a while and I learned what an amazing woman she was. She never bragged about what she'd accomplished in her life, but she was most proud of her family. ...

Sorry just learned about Barbara passing, what a great loss. Barbara was one AMAZING lady. I will never forget my time with you as your caregiver. Rest In Peace.

I had the honor of learning from Mrs. Lipscomb and a group of inspiring Life Trustees while working for The Nature Conservancy. Every board meeting was an in depth seminar on our natural heritage and our responsibility for stewardship. She was a passionate, dynamic mentor for all who knew her and will be sorely missed.

BARBARA AND JIM WERE A GREAT ADDITION TO CALVARY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. WHEN THEY ARRIVED WE MET THE COUPLE WE HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT WHILE WE WERE IN GHANA 1958-1961.

Prayers for peace and condolences to the Lipscomb family.

Barbara was one of my favorite people on the Ohio Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy. She was a strong supporter of our international programs, but she was also so committed and outspoken about having a positive impact on the ecosystem and in particular Lake Erie and NE Ohio. Her selfless commitment, persistence, and determination will be greatly missed. Barbara and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. Jeff Reutter, Chair of Board, TNC Ohio.
