Barbara Joan MacKenzie

Due to the crazy year 2020 and all its restrictions, I would not have been able to travel to Washington for our annual visit. One of the highlights would have been to visit with Barbara. She was such a special spirit...always learning, trying something new and up for a good time. I truly miss her and it saddens me that I will be unable to see her again. However, I will forever carry warm memories of Barbara.

Met Barbara in the early 1990s when we worked together in Los Angeles. We instantly hit it off because we were of a similar age, had grandchildren of a similar age and we were both crazy. When Barbara moved to Carnation, WA, we remained in touch tracking our paths as grandmothers and friends. When she moved to Gig Harbor, I would visit her at her lovely home when I visited my daughter who lives in Bonney Lake. We would spend an afternoon reminiscing and catching up with each other's...

I was Barbara's dental hygienist and friend. When she missed a recent dental appointment, I tried to get in touch with her, but had a bad feeling so I checked the obits.
We attended garden shows together and she was always a delight to spend time with. I loved to visit her home garden and she gave me several plants that are in my yard now and I will always treasure the memories of our times together. Condolences to Barbara's family and friends.
