Barbara Sue Martinez

Barbara Sue Martiniez, age 64 of Goshen, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, March 29, 2026 after a 2-year battle with ovarian cancer. Barbara was born on May 25, 1961 in Goshen to George and Charlotte (Yoder) Mast. Barbara was a graduate of NorthWood High School and lived her entire life on the same stretch of Elkhart County Road. She grew up helping on the family farm and never strayed very far. She had also worked for several years at Das Essen Haus in Middlebury, IN. Barbara had a personal relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ and was recently baptized in His name. She loved chocolate, especially Hershey’s chocolate. She was an avid fan of all things Disney and collected Disney memorabilia to go along with her collection of Barbie Dolls. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed putting together Jigsaw puzzles. Above all else, Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She is survived by her two children: Chaz (Piper) Martinez of Dunlap, IN and Marissa (Jesse) Stiles of Goshen; granddaughter, Charlotte Olivia Rosemary Stiles; parents, George and Charlotte Mast of Goshen; and 2 brothers: George Michael (Patty) Mast of Middlebury, IN and Jeffrey Joseph (Pam) Mast of Georgetown, TX.  Visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Saturday, April 4, with a Celebration of Life service starting at 11 am, all at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Burial will follow in Hepton Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Barbara’s name can be given to the Wakarusa Public Library.
