I met Barb at Silver Sneakers and we became friends. She became my surrogate mother. I was impressed that she took a drivers ed course after her accident, so she could drive again. Barb frequently went with the sneakers group to lunch on Fridays. We had some fun conversations about Chicago media because my father was an announcer on radio and TV in Chicago. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Barb. What a wonderful lady. My condolences to all of her family.
