Barbara Lucia, Cara Comare, that's what I always called her, my dear, dear, longtime friend, from the early fifties, right up until 2009. We had the best of the best times together, you and I, as well as, with our dear families. I will cherish them forever. Now, you are a "free spirit" once again, "not a prisoner in your body", at home, in "Your Heavenly Father's World". Peace my dearest friend, I love you, Tua Amica, Joanne - Salute! All my love, comfort, and deepest sympathy to you dear...

Barbara always had that special laugh, that's what I remember as I write this. She was full of love and giving. I know she is happier now and knows that all her family has each other for support knowing she has done the best she could for everyone. I will always remember Barbara, God Bless all of you.

To all who loved Barbara I offer my love and sympathy. When I think of her the word irrepressible comes to mind. She was so very genuine and warm that she always had to say what was on her mind. Sometimes it was just so funny because she would say it even if the moment called for quiet. Then the rest of us would start to laugh and she would look innocent. She saw humor in everything.
Remember her like that, not the way she has been lately as her health really failed her. She loved...

Dear Maxwell Family,
I am so sorry on the loss of my Godmother Barbara. She was an amazing person, always full of life. She had a heart full of gold, always so thoughtfull and generous. She always wanted to feed you or give you something every time you went to her house. I have known Barbara all of my life and everytime I went to visit her with my mom Joanne DiPrima she would always feed me oreo cookies and chocolate covered graham crackers. Still to this day...

Dear Rick, Jeff and Diane, Eric and Sharon and all Barbara's grand-kids and family:
Know of my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time-- I know that it has been hard. When my Mom died, I found great comfort in a quote from St. Therese. I share it with you now in the hope that it brings you some comfort too: "The bonds of love continue unbroken from this life into the next."
God bless you,
Bob Cook
