My mom, Julie Kearns, was a friend of Barb's. She admired and enjoyed Barb's company tremendously. She loved having lunch with Barb and her Holly lady friends; visiting Barb on the farm; the beauty of her zinnias and other bright flowers on sunny afternoons; fresh eggs and friendship. I met Barb a couple of times - her joy and presence are memorable. I'm sorry I didn't see Barb more often, but I know that my mom grieves and will miss her very much - sending sympathy and love - Denise Kearns

About 10 years ago, I was singing with the Fenton Lakes Sweet Adelines and met Barb. I Immediately I liked her and enjoyed spending time with her. I was always amazed at how busy and accomplished she was. She was always kind and patient. I lost contact with her after I left the Chorus, but kept track through Facebook. My thoughts and prayers are with you. The world is a sadder place without Barb.
