Not sure what to say?

Barbara was a great friend and co-worker. She always treated everyone with dignity and respect and focused on everyones strenghts. She was a great teacher and role model and may she forever rest in peace.

Barbara was a wonderful cousin whose sweet spirit and great sense of humor touched and enriched my life. She will be missed by many as she touched so many with her love and generosity. -Libby Frei (Hickory, NC)

Barbara was one good BBQ stirrer! She helped make it for the Hog Happnin' every year. In fact, she was one of the Three Hot Mamas! She always smiled and worked as long as everybody did. We missed her when she retired but she was not forgotten!

She was a Great Lady that did great things for the families and children of this county and others...She will be missed...Thank You Family for sharing her with us..... Our Prayers are with you..

Barbara was a good friend. She sacrificed more for her family than they will ever know - she truly wanted everyone to be happy. Barbara was a good teacher as well. Many parents who came through her parenting classes benefited from her attitude because she believed that they all had strengths and that they could all be good parents.
I learned a lot from her and will forever be grateful for her influence.

Barbara was one of the first people I met when I went to work at DSS in 1991. Then, many years later she worked with me and my family during the adoption process for our son. She was a pleasant person and always shared encouraging words. Barbara will be missed.

I worked with Barbara for many years at DSS and loved her dearly. She had a passion for the children that she served; and was one of the most dedicated hardworking people I have ever known. I considered her a dear friend and will miss her greatly. My prayers will be with her family, who she loved and talked about often.
