I still rmember Barbara's brilliance and love of life. She loved Zen Buddhism, Tai Chi, Arab Ensemble of Cal Poly and water exercise.

Just yesterday, the Women's Day in China, I was so sad to know that Dr. Mori had lost her hard fought battle with leukemia on February 12, 2012. She was a very special person and will be missed, honored and remembered by me, by my colleague, our students and the staff of Shaanxi University of Technology (SUT). She taught English in our university in 1994, 1995, and 2000, and visited us in April 2003, September 2008 and July 2010. She sponsored the Sung Mae Luo Calligraphy Contest for Women...

Dr. Mori was the first professor I met at Cal Poly in the late 80's. She invited me along with other new students into her home for dinner and I have never forgotten that evening. She truly made a difference in the lives of her students. I took many courses with her and she was an excellent professor and a very challenging professor! Dr. Mori was a woman with a very big heart and she will be missed. Rest in peace Dr. Mori.

I will surely miss Barbara, my friend who gave me lessons and support during my darker days. Despite her medical condition, she went full speed ahead to fulfill her goals. I admire her strength, persistence, and courage. May she find her cat, Saki in heaven. My condolences to Bill and Christopher. May you continue to find the love in her.

Barbara lived life with fun and fearlessness. Her devotion to her students is admirable. She also promoted good will to countries which have less material weath then the USA . She will be truly missed.

I wrote the obituary for Barbara. It was hard to include all of her many accomplishments into a short article. I thought the youthful photo of the young scholar graduating from Hofstra, as well as the mature photo of the Barbara were knew, were appropriate. Barbara and I were colleagues who collaborated on several projects, but, above all, friends. We went to many PAC concerts. I visited her in Hawaii and Japan. If any of you want to attend the Memorial at Pine Mountain Buddhist Temple at...

i was saddened to learn about Barbara's passing. I knew her
for many years.
I hope Christopher is doing well as I also knew him here in Hawaii.
