Barbara Jean Pimentel

When I happened onto the obituary in the Tri-City Vioce, for Barbara Pimentel, I wondered why the face looked familiar. I read about her life and realized she was a favorite teacher of mine at Horner Jr. High - over 50 years ago. I pulled out an old yearbook, class of 1967, and saw the nice note she had written to me. I remembered climbing the ropes during P.E. with Mrs. Pimentel cheering us on. Fond recollections, condolences to the family.

Sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. Her beautiful family was a tribute to her love, compassion, and community involvement. Wishing much love and support to Clay, Craig and the Pimentel family.

As a former Horner Jr. High student, in the 60's, and frequent babysitter,for Todd and Craig, I have many fond memories of times spent with Barbara. I have thought of her often,even telling my grandkids that her PE class was the best of times when getting to play soccer in the rain and mud, or crab soccer in the gym on bad weather days.
