Not sure what to say?

I didn't know about this as I had not seen Barbara for several years since time in Richardson ,always smiling and energetic as an Eaglette in Richardson ...Fly high Eagle fly high

Just yesterday I was going through old keepsakes which I retrieved from storage. There among my many items was a copy of the University Daily from Texas Tech where Barbara had written a memorable article about the vote to allow alcohol at the student union building at Tech. As a member of the student government, I got to know Barbara and found myself intimidated by her beauty, confidence and professionalism. After a stroll down memory lane, I decided to do an internet search for her. It...

Barbara was a special friend during our senior year of high school. She was an extraordinary person- warm, empathic, caring, extremely smart, creative, ambitious, ... We spent a lot of time together including staying up after senior prom, talking all night about everything, watching the sun rise to make a warm new day, and then pretty much going our own ways for the rest of our lives. Even though we didn't stay in touch after high school, I cared for her very much.

Very sad to hear about Barbara, but so grateful for her friendship and her commitment to God. Barbara's willingness to speak her faith and to be used of God helped to change and to influence my life in so many ways over the past 38 years, but more importantly, for all of eternity. Barbara was truly one of a kind that positively influenced many people. Rest in the Lord's Presence my friend, we'll meet again.

So very sorry to get this news about Barbara...although we hadn't been in touch, she was very instrumental in getting a large group of us to go to church in 1981 and be filled with the Holy Spirit!!! Grateful that she was not afraid to share her faith!!!

Sending my deepest sympathy, Alexis. Praying for you.

Alexis, your mother was a remarkable person, talented, and kind. She talked me into teaching, which I, too, enjoyed. Although I had not seen her for many years, I thought about her frequently, always fondly, as I do now.
